Today, my family and I went to Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q in Frisco, TX just off the North Dallas Tollway. This is indeed the perfect family eatery. There is a small store inside but the main attraction is the Bar-B-Q. There is a large bin with ice cold drinks to choose from as well as chips of many varieties. Being a bit of a spend-thrift, we all ordered a Eagle Bags ($6.99 each) which includes a sandwich (turkey, sausage, brisket), a 20 oz fountain soft drink and a bag of chips.
Just to the left of the cashier you can get free refills as well as a variety of condiments such as 2 versions of their famous Bar-B-Q sauce (hot and mild) as well as jalapenos and other trimmings.
The dining area offers indoor and outdoor dining. I really liked the outdoor at this time of the year as we remained in the shade with just the large windows open.
At a price of about $30.00 for 4 meals this is a good family dining experience. |
